2009-2010 I was
awarded The Michigan Council for History Education's Teacher of the
Year Award (Nominated by Dr. Jim McConnell). On November 4, 2009 I
presented at the MCHE conference a lesson on using primary sources for

I have published a webpage for MCHE containing all of the lessons created under a grant from the Library of Congress on using primary source documents.
December/January 2009-2010 "The Mailbox" magazine published an idea I submitted!
2008-2009 I wrote for a grant from Target and they have awarded our
Elms Road Elementary third grade classes $800 towards our field trip expenses to
Crossroads Village!
