pictures, you can choose many different categories to use to decorate the
pumpkins (for example the fruit pictures make good items for the faces). If time you can have students click
underneath the picture and type “pumpkin.”
Last have them choose File, Print.
They will need help printing. If
students finish early, they can go to my student links page and do Fall or

Students will learn to locate important keys on the keyboard and to
name the parts of a computer. This lesson may need to be divided into
two weeks.
Part 1:
Students will learn the parts of a computer.
- Show United Streaming 2 minute movie on parts of a computer
- Have
students place a sticky note on each part (monitor, keyboard, mouse,
headphones, tower/hard drive, ) as I show them.
Students will use PowerPoint to create a mini booklet naming parts of the computer.
- Have students open Computer Parts Mini Booklet from Student Links page.
- Have students follow the directions at the
bottom of each slide to label the correct parts. As students
learn the names of the computer parts, they will also learn PowerPoint
skills such as:
- adding text
- deleting objects
- moving objects
- using the backspace key
- Print ( have them select the option to print 6 slides per page.)
- Cut and staple into a mini booklet.

How to use Paint 2010 basics!
How to paint a pizza with Paint 2010
Students will use the paint program to create a
drawing of a pizza. Then they will use copy and paste to add different
ingredients to their pizza. The children start with a basic shape for
the pizza. Then they fill in with a color that reminds them of the
pizza crust. We add the sauce using the airbrush tool with the widest
spray. Next, we use the thicker paintbrush to add pieces of green
pepper. We make one piece of pepperoni and use the copy and paste
technique to add more pepperoni to it. You can do the same for
mushrooms. Finally, the children use the airbrush technique to add
melted cheese as the final topping.
Save.
Week 2:
Students will insert a picture of their pizza into
Word. Students will type a descriptive paragraph about their
pizza.
Teach students how to save and Print.

Excel : 2 Week Lesson Plan
Students will make three different graphs to display the same data.
1. Together complete an example showing students favorite team. Display as a bar graph, pictograph, and a pie chart.
2. Also show them how to use a formula to total the columns.
3. On own: Students will choose a topic and three categories.
For example:
- Topic: Favorite Sport
- Three categories: Baseball, Football, Soccer
4. Collect data from classmates (give copies of class lists)

Save at least one photo of the landmark.
Week 3:
Students will upload information and photo to their webpage.
** Possibly have them find their land mark on Google Earth and have them link the KMZ file to the webpage.
** Possibly teach them how to create a hyperlink to a website that contains information about the landmark.

keyboard, mouse, and printer)"
Students will learn to locate important keys on the keyboard and to
name the parts of a computer. This lesson may need to be divided into
two weeks.
Part 1:
Students will learn the parts of a computer.
- Show United Streaming 2 minute movie on parts of a computer
- Have
students place a sticky note on each part (monitor, keyboard, mouse,
headphones, tower/hard drive, ) as I show them.
Students will use PowerPoint to create a mini booklet naming parts of the computer.
- Have students open Computer Parts Mini Booklet from Student Links page.
- Have students follow the directions at the
bottom of each slide to label the correct parts. As students
learn the names of the computer parts, they will also learn PowerPoint
skills such as:
- adding text
- deleting objects
- moving objects
- using the backspace key
- Print ( have them select the option to print 6 slides per page.)
- Cut and staple into a mini booklet.
Part 2:
Students will learn to locate important keys on the keyboard.
