K Lesson 9	Have students click on the "Open Pumpkin in Kidspiration" link. Two blank pumpkins will open in Kidspiration. If they click on the pictures in the left column, they can drag items onto the pumpkin to make silly faces. If you click on the arrows above the pictures, you can choose many different categories to use to decorate the pumpkins (for example the fruit pictures make good items for the faces). If time you can have students click underneath the picture and type “pumpkin.” Last have them choose File, Print. They will need help printing. If students finish early, they can go to my student links page and do Fall or Apple Activities.

Put together the video with the Paint illustrations in WMV. Elms: Students will recite the reader's theater script. "Let's Go Exploring." Use audacity to record. They will draw pictures in Paint to go with the script. Put together with WMV.
K Lesson 24	Digital Storytelling Using PowerPoint: What I Want to Be When I Grow Up *Do this lesson with fifth grade helpers. 1. Take digital photos of each student. 2. In PPT have students insert their photo. 3. Insert Shape of a speech thought bubble. 4. Isert clip art into the bubble of what they want to be when they grow up. 5. Type a sentence, "I want to be a ____________ when I grow up." 6. Save to shared student folder. 7. Later teacher combines all slides into one ppt. 8. Record student voices reading their sentence on each slide.

3rd	Watch Paint review tutorial 2007 Watch Pizza Tutorial 2007 How to use Paint 2010 basics! How to paint a pizza with Paint 2010 Students will use the paint program to create a drawing of a pizza. Then they will use copy and paste to add different ingredients to their pizza. The children start with a basic shape for the pizza. Then they fill in with a color that reminds them of the pizza crust. We add the sauce using the airbrush tool with the widest spray. Next, we use the thicker paintbrush to add pieces of green pepper. We make one piece of pepperoni and use the copy and paste technique to add more pepperoni to it. You can do the same for mushrooms. Finally, the children use the airbrush technique to add melted cheese as the final topping. Save. Week 2: Students will insert a picture of their pizza into Word. Students will type a descriptive paragraph about their pizza. Teach students how to save and Print.
4th	Watch Paint review tutorial 2007 Watch Bioglyph Tutorial 2007 How to use Paint 2010 basics! How to paint a bioglyph with Paint 2010 Students will use to Paint program to make a bioglyph. How to paint a symmetrical design with Paint 2010 Students will create a symmetrical design. Click here for directions. Week 2: Students will write a simile to go with their symmetrical design. They will create one slide in PPT and then save to the H and N drives. 1. Show symmetrical design examples: 2. Show students how to insert their design from last week into PowerPoint. Lesson 3

Kindergarten	Watch how to use Paint Basics 2007 How to use Paint 2010 basics! Model and practice logging on. Model how to click and double click. Open Paint program. As I model how to draw various shapes, lines, and text, students will copy what I do in the Paint program. Let students explore on own. Model how to Print.
1st	Read: "Ten Apples Up on Top." How to use Paint 2010 basics! Either upload a picture of each student and have students copy and paste their picture into Paint (if photos aren't available, then have them draw a face. Draw an apple and copy and paste it to the top of their head. Add a text box that says, "____ apples up on top." Add name to text box. Minimize and play game. Teach how to save one on one while others are playing game. Kidspiration: Students will use Kidspiration to make a web showing the four seasons. They will use the writing tool to then type one sentence about each season. They will learn how to print.
2nd	Read: "If You Take A Mouse To School." Have students copy and paste a picture of the Mouse into the Paint program. Paint something that the Mouse from the story might ask for. Add a text box that names what was painted. Add name to text box. Minimize and play Carnival Countdown. Teach how to save one on one while others are playing game.
3rd	Students will learn about constellations and create thier own. See example below: 1. Watch Constellations (45 seconds) The Stars and Seasons (1 minute) The North Star (1 1/2 minutes) Astronomy (1 minute) *Have students record important facts as they view. Share when finished. 2. Have students open Paint. Students will create a constellation, name it, and type at least one fact learned from the videos. 3. Print and save to H drive.

1st	Students will learn about how to write a story with a beginning, middle, and end. Students will access the PBS Kids Story Factory. They will insert pictures and type three sentences (one for beginning, middle, and end) They will print and staple the story.
2nd	2 Week Lesson Use the link to the right to access the Turkey Glyph and Excel Graph. Week 1: Students will use a glyph to draw a turkey in paint. Save and Print. Week 2: Students collect data on the data sheet. 2nd	Kidspiration Make two groups with rectangle or circle shapes. Label Healty and Not Healthy. Drag foods into appropriate categories. Publish to Word. Type sentences telling which foods are healthy or not. or Smartboard Lesson: Students will learn how to read a map key in Smartnote software. They will use the key to identify places on the map. 3rd	Finish Lesson 8 part 2. Students insert Turkey With Dressing Pic into PowerPoint and type a description. Teach students how to record voice into PPT. How to save on the shared network drive.

5th	Students will learn about the 5 parts of a letter and use MS Word to write letters to send to overseas American soldiers. 1. Model the five parts of a letter: Heading (address and date in top right corner) Greeting (Dear, Hello, or To, and comma) Body (content of letter) Closing (From, Your Friend, and comma) Signature 2. Students type a letter to an American soldier. Print. 3. I will mail them to soldiers currently stationed in Afghanistan.

Kindergarten	Students will listen to poem: Rudolph Rudolph! Students will design a reindeer in Paint by adding antlers, coloring in the reindeer and adding color to the nose. Teacher will need to open the picture to the right in Paint for students and save for them when finished/ Put the completed pics into Movie Maker. Next week record student voices reading Rudolph Rudolph!
